Y&R Alum, Mckenna Grace, Ex-Faith Newman, Lands Huge Movie

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that it’s been a hot minute since fans have seen Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) in Genoa City; however, it looks like a former actress in the role, McKenna Grace will soon be starring in a major movie role.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – McKenna Grace Stars In Flick

Y&R spoilers note that actress McKenna Grace played a younger Faith Newman from 2013 to 2015, entering the part at age 7.

The actress had a recurring role on the show during that time, subbing for young actress Alyvia Alyn Lind when she wasn’t available.

Now, according to Deadline, Ms. Grace is set to star in Straight Lies, a psychological thriller. She won’t only play the lead but will also be an executive producer for the movie, and filming is set to start this summer, taking place in North Carolina.

The flick takes place in the ‘90s during the “war on drugs”, centering around a teenager falsely accused of taking drugs. She is forced into a rehab center, sponsored by the U.S. government, and must figure out how to get out on her own.

Despite having a CIA agent dad, he seems to know little about the facility. The story was written by Ren Trella, who wrote the script from personal experience. The movie is being produced by Valor Media Group and Mandalay Pictures.

Y&R Spoilers – McKenna Grace Lands Major Film Role

Mckenna began acting at five years of age and has also appeared in other movies, including Captain Marvel, Troop Zero, and I, Tonya.

She’s also known for her work in The Handmaid’s Tale and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy in the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series category for that role; the first time a child has been recognized for an Emmy in guest acting.

Mckenna also will soon be seen in the movie, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, which is set to release this March 22, opposite actor Paul Rudd.
