Whoopi Goldberg Backtracks On Musk, Vance Conspiracy Suggestion

Whoopi Goldberg suggested that Elon Musk and JD Vance were in a conspiracy to kill off President Donald Trump. However, after a commercial break, she backtracked on it. The View’s execs certainly seem to be conscious that not everyone appreciates barbed political humor. 

Whoopi Goldberg has Very Strong Opinions 

It was Jenny McCarthy who revealed that working at The View was the most god-awful experience of her life. She claimed that Whoopi seemed to be the ringleader in controlling everything that went on. And, she has some very strong views. One thing that critics note, is that she always leans left, and there’s no room for any good comments about President Trump and his associates. 

Whoopi Goldberg included JD Vance and Elon Musk on her hate list, it seems. Interestingly, the panel this week loved the idea that as a South African-born immigrant, Elon Musk won’t be president of the USA. But, the inference was strongly about him actually being the man behind the throne, with Trump just being the face of the presidency.

Suggesting that people kill off Donald Trump seems to be something that Democrats get away with these days. At least, that seems to be his opinion since he had assassination attempts on his life. This week, on The View, Whoopi Goldberg said, in part:

Who is in charge? Because I’ve been saying it for a while. I’ve been saying it – I think Elon Musk believes he’s president. I do…Hey, you know who, stay away from the stairways, because, you know, people put their leg out to trip you going down the stairs. Watch out.

It didn’t need a brain surgeon to know that she was talking about Donald Trump. 

The View Backtrack – It’s A Joke?

After a commercial break on The View, Whoopi Goldberg, supported by Sunny Hostin, assured viewers that she didn’t mean Elon Musk and JD Vance wanted to murder the president. Actually, she rambled on about how her “cat” worries her as she might trip over it. It was apparently a “lighthearted” joke, and “it’s the holidays.” So that makes it okay?

Not everyone who voted for the majority-elected president thought that Whoopi Goldberg was remotely funny. Here are a few reactions on X:

• Whoopi better tread lightly with those ‘jokes’ — one wrong step and she’ll be writing Trump a $15M check and following Georgie boy out the ABC exit door. Careful, Whoopi… those stairs can be real slippery. 😂
