What Happened To General Hospital’s Lulu Falconeri?

General Hospital’s Lulu Falconeri has been in a coma since 2020, with many fans hoping she’ll wake up one day in wonder at all that’s happened while she’s been asleep. But, how did Lulu end up in this coma?

General Hospital Spoilers – Lulu Falconeri’s Fateful Night

Lulu (Emme Rylan) had finally gotten over Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) divorcing her and was moving on with high school teacher Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson).

Then, Dante returned to town and seemed to want her back, confusing poor Lulu, who was determined to make things work with Dustin.

One night, Dustin and Lulu were out on a casual date at The Floating Rib when all hell broke loose. New mobster in town Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kover) had blackmailed Julian Jerome (William deVry) into planting a bomb there.

After the explosion, Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) teenage charge Dev was killed, as was Dustin, and Lulu was badly injured. Too bad nobody knew just how badly at first.

GH Spoilers – Lulu Falconeri’s Condition Goes From Bad To Worse

After Lulu was rushed to the hospital, she was said to have a concussion but nothing more.

She was devastated when she learned that Dustin had died, but the ordeal made her realize another truth.

While she was in the hospital chapel to pray for Dustin, Dante showed up and Lulu knew she had to tell him how she felt.

Just as Lulu was about to confess to Dante that she was still in love with him and wanted to be with him, she passed out and went into the coma she is still in to this day.

Laura Collins (Genie Francis) eventually had her daughter transferred to a facility outside Port Charles and we now know that Dante regularly takes Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) to visit her mother.

The PC world has gone on without Lulu as her children have grown into teenagers, Dante has moved on and in with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and Laura is about to adopt a baby who happens to be Lulu’s nephew via her brother, Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss).

There is so much that Lulu has missed and so much that she will have to deal with that it could be interesting to see her bond with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) over their shared coma experiences.
