‘Welcome To Plathville’ Fans Think It Should End, Why?

Welcome To Plathville fans saw some changes since it premiered and now that Season 6 airs, TLC fans think the show should end. The reason why isn’t about Kim Plath dumping her husband Barry or about Olivia and Ethan divorcing. Read on to find out what is bothering viewers.

After Kim Plath left Barry, some fans felt shocked because Season 1 of the TLC show seemed to suggest that fans would watch a show about fundamental Christians. Well, not a lot of Christian things went on apart from Lydia sitting out her days in the prayer closet. 

Welcome To Plathville fans were a bit shocked when Ethan Plath and Olivia also split. After all, isn’t it some kind of sin to get divorced? Meanwhile, Moriah Plath, who was baptized, sings sad songs and sports her rebel tattoo. So that’s not the sort of thing that viewers thought they would see. Is that why Welcome to Plathville fans think that the show should end? 

Just End The Show Already – Why?

TLC fans don’t seem to mind the deviation from god-fearing bible-bashing too much. In fact, it entertains them to think that people like the Plaths have their failings. However, there is something that seems lethal happening to the show. According to disgruntled fans, it’s become boring. 

On Reddit this week, u/Embarrassed_Cow1250 kickstarted the conversation about how the Welcome To Plathville show seems to get dragged out. They asked if other people feel “bored” by the show. Citing Moriah’s break-up  and the divorces, they added:

 I…feel like everyone has been very fake and theatrical. Idk maybe it’s time to end the show 🤷‍♀️ still gonna watch cause I’m nosy but I’m boredddddd.

Plenty of people replied in the comments section of the discussion. But one response that seemed to nail it came from u/chubbierunner.

Why The Show Needs To End

After talking about how Moriah Plath seems to speak in slow motion, the TLC critic said:

It’s so boring. They talk about having a conversation. They have the conversation. They tell someone about having the conversation afterwards. Then they tell the cameras about the conversation. Then they call someone to tell them they aren’t having anymore feelings about the conversation. On the next episode, they are talking about having another dumb non conversation. Different people. More hardly talking. Again.
