Counting On fans were surprised by the sudden marriage of Jana Duggar to Stephen Wissman this week, and even more surprised that Jill Duggar Dillard didn’t seem to be included in the wedding party. Was she snubbed? Some TLC fans wonder if she even attended the wedding at The Grand at Willow Springs.
Jill Duggar Dillard At Odds With The TLC Family
Jim Bob Duggar wasn’t happy about Derick Dillard’s wife appearing on Shiny Happy People, Duggar Family Secrets. Additionally, he clearly wasn’t happy about the book she wrote, Counting The Cost. For some time, even Michelle Duggar seemed estranged from her daughter. So that might be why Jill wasn’t included in the bride’s wedding party.
Jill Duggar and Jana used to be quite good friends as far as TLC fans could tell from social media. So, it seems unthinkable that she should be excluded from the wedding party this week. People carried the story about the wedding, and her name wasn’t mentioned as being included.
Snubbed From Jana Duggar’s Wedding Party?
In their article, which was accompanied by photos, the outlet wrote:
. Jessa Duggar Seewald served as the bride’s maid of honor, while her sister-in-law, Abbie Duggar, and sisters Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Duggar Vuolo and Jordyn Duggar were bridesmaids.
Soon, the fact that Jill Duggar seemed absent made its way to Reddit where Counting On fan, u/flabbyveggies noted, “Looks like no Jill in the bridal party.”
In the discussion that followed, some Counting On fans wondered if Jill Duggar was even at the event. Meanwhile, others felt shocked because Jana Duggar seemed to have snubbed her sister. Here are some of their reactions:
- My guess is that it’s because Jessa is still drinking the kool aid of their lifestyle. Jill rejecting it truly ostracized herself. I feel so bad for her.
- Feel badly yes, but it’s got to feel amazing to go home to a husband who is your partner, not your patriarchy and wants the best for you.
- I feel bad for her that her family are a bunch of a–holes, but I’m also happy for her that she’s out of that dumpster fire.
- I’m guessing Laura and Jill show up in some background photos later.
- It’s possible that Jill didn’t want to be in the wedding party or that with Jim Bob paying that Jill wasn’t in the party. She may have been at the wedding.
- Yikes, especially when it looks like all of the older girls are bridesmaids but Jill. Jill and Jana have discussed years ago how they were close growing up (Jill was considered a triplet with Jana and John David) while Jessa and Jinger were close.
