TLC Adds Forbidden Love Reality Series To Their Schedule

The TLC Network is adding another reality series centered around love and difficult relationships with the show Forbidden Love.

With enough content involving long distance relationships, age gaps and couple’s trying to make it work within difficult family dynamics, TLC has found a new angle with Forbidden Love. The show will explore couple’s who are from different religious backgrounds and cultures.

“Hailing from different faiths, one partner from each couple is converting or has decided to relinquish their family of origin and culture entirely,” the network has shared about the focus of the show. “Facing such intense traditional differences, can their relationships endure the trials of converting or will their love falter under the pressure?”

TLC Spoilers – Reveals Forbidden Love’s Season One Cast & Details

In anticipation of the freshman series, TLC is sharing what fans can expect to see when it comes to the four couples who will be at the center of the series.

Laurie and Eli will find themselves in new territory when Laurie converts to his Jewish faith after leaving her Catholic beginnings after the death of her father. Laurie will be in all new territory as she takes classes, tests and more.

Much like the Amish series, Breaking Amish, Elmer and Lindsey will find themselves trying to overcome the obstacles with his Amish background, a new baby on the way and their more than a decade age gap.

The 31-year-old Ashley has also joined season one of the series. She shares a daughter with her husband Muhammed and has decided to convert from catholic to his Muslim faith. Ashley struggles with her new faith’s strict laws and culture.

Lensa of Pentecostal faith will find himself in hard situations as he tries to work through issues with his fiancé Kris who is Muslim. “Kris and Lensa want each other to convert to their respective religions which leaves them, and their families, at odds,” TLC has shared of the fourth couple.

Forbidden Love makes its debut on July 21, at 10 p.m. ET on the TLC network.
