This Royal Rule May Deny Princess Charlotte And Prince George Major Royal Real EstateA lot is changing for the Waleses as their children come of age. These days, the youngsters are allowed to accompany their parents during official royal duties, and even young Prince Louis helped out when her mother visited a charity last year. But that’s the thing with growth, it often comes with change.

Recently, we reported that Prince George will soon have to fly privately from the rest of his family, and now, with a slimmed-down monarchy already being set up by the current monarch, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis may be denied a royal inheritance.

How This King Charles Plan For The Monarchy May Affect Princess Charlotte And Prince George Down The Line

King Charles’ plans for a slimmed-down monarchy may look good on paper – remember its major failing was revealed when Charles and Princess Kate were diagnosed with cancer in early January – but it could deny some of his grandchildren the rights to live in their ancestral homes. And I’m not talking about the ones that are in Montecito, California, with their parents.

According to royal historian and author Kate Williams, King Charles’ slimmed-down monarchy involves plans to lead away from palaces, and this may well affect direct heirs to the throne.

This move could see the family further open their 30 regal estates to the public as a source of funds. When this happens, several members of the Royal Family that aren’t heirs to the throne may be forced to relocate.

Fans already know that the big royal residences like Kensington Palace, Windsor Castle, and part of Buckingham Palace, are open to public tours.

“On one hand, these palaces are great homes being conserved for future generations. On the other hand, they generate a lot of income for the royal collection and are great to visit,” Williams told the outlet. “We understand that King Charles is aiming for a slimmed-down Royal Family, so it means [minor royals] may have to go and live in non-palaces.”

With William reportedly considering shrinking the Royal Family circle even more, it’ll be interesting to see how Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will fare when they grow up.

“Maybe in the future we’ll see Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis getting a flat in Shoreditch together,” she added.
