The Bachelor 29: Grant Ellis’ Season Could Be Best EVER, Here’s Why

This week ABC announced the new Season 29 Bachelor, shocking fans of the show.  Grant Ellis is a perfect candidate for the job, but the network has never revealed a new Bachelor this early in the year.

Grant Ellis made his reality TV debut on The Bachelorette this spring.  After dating Jennifer Tran this season, he sadly was eliminated and didn’t move on to the finals.  However, just hours after his elimination, ABC made the official announcement that he would be the next Bachelor.

In an official statement the network revealed, “A self-proclaimed mama’s boy, Ellis’ infectious smile and unwavering positivity instantly brightens every room he enters. 

The former pro basketball player is passionate about his career as a day trader, but when he’s not immersed in the fast-paced world of finance, you can find him cheering on the Lakers, hitting strikes at the bowling alley, or belting out tunes at karaoke nights.”

The Bachelor statement also revealed that Season 29 would be a game-changer, because the women applying actually know who they are potentially dating ahead of time. 

In the past, women have applied to be on The Bachelor and chosen for the cast before they ever even find out who it is they are signing up to date.

ABC exec Robert Mills took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and explained to Bachelor fans, “We are announcing Grant so quickly so people can still apply to be on his season.

If you think Grant is potentially the man of your dreams or you know someone who is apply ASAP!!!”

In the past the series was basically made up of a man looking for a wife, and twenty random girls throwing themselves at him on national television to see if they stuck. 

Announcing Grant Ellis so early makes the process much more personal, and could potentially make this season way more successful.
