As the last month of the year is in full swing, it’s time to reflect on the year that’s gone by. The land of daytime drama has seen some incredible performances from child actresses and actors in 2024.

They can be the comedic relief in a scene when it’s needed; help a storyline come along; be a target for those nasty soap villains; and offer heartfelt emotion when dealing with drama.

Is it any surprise that the incredibly talented Jophielle Love, who played Violet Finn on GH, hit the top spot? Her character had a very challenging year, losing her grandfather, whom she was close with, only to have her father struggle with addiction shortly after the fact.

After Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) passed away, Violet’s entire world flipped upside down and it took a village, literally, to get her dad, Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) to go to rehab after he hit the bottle when his dad died.

Violet headed to the Quartermaine mansion with her Uncle Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Auntie Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton) and charmed the entire Q family in the process.

Still, while Jophielle nailed each and every scene she was in this year, she blew audiences away with her goodbye scenes as Violet exited the canvas to start a fresh new chapter in Seattle with her dad, post-rehab stint.

There wasn’t a dry eye in any GH fan’s house, and while Violet has left Port Charles, here’s hoping she can return for a visit, very soon.
