So-Called Ex Of Moriah Plath Never Dated The ‘Homeless’ TLC Star

When Welcome to Plathville fans think of Moriah Plath having an ex-boyfriend, they usually think of Max Kallschmidt. But in the latest season, she spoke about another ex, and TLC fans tracked him down. Now, he claims that he never dated Moriah and that she was “homeless” when he met her. 

Moriah Plath Dated Again After Max Split?

While Max appeared on the TLC show, her new boyfriend didn’t. In fact, she seemed to keep him particularly secret. The rumors of a new guy arose when she wrote a new song about a man years after she split from Max. The Welcome to Plathville star talked about a broken heart again in Season 6. But by then Reddit sleuths had identified him as a part-time musician from Florida, named Matthew “Matt” Craven. 

When Welcome to Plathville fan u/HollowHollows revealed the information on Reddit, it was noted that Matt promised to do an Instagram Live to clear up his involvement with Moriah Plath. His account is private, but TV Shows Ace listened in and reported back about his counter-claims that he dated the TLC star. 

New ‘Boyfriend’ Never Dated Moriah?

According to the outlet, Matthew denied that he ever dated Moriah. Instead, he claimed that he “Met Moriah when she worked right across the street from his business.” At the time, he claimed that she seemed very down, and alarmingly, he discovered that she was “homeless.”  Additionally, he verified that he wasn’t married but he does have a child. 

As “custody papers involving his son were leaked publicly,” Matthew decided to speak out. Allegedly, “homeless” Moriah Plath kept her living conditions from her family. Either that, or they didn’t worry about her very much. Furthermore, he claimed that she “wanted to date” him, but he considered himself a friend of the TLC star.  

Welcome To Plathville Appearance Requested

Matthew Craven claimed that he was approached several times to appear on the Welcome to Plathville show. Matt wasn’t alone as he talked about not dating Moriah. In fact, the outlet noted that “Angel Howansky, Moriah’s publicist…[was] also on the live.”  And. she claimed that “Moriah was upset that Matthew didn’t want to date her.”

On Reddit, TLC fans looked forward to the Live by Moriah Plath’s so-called boyfriend. Here are some of their comments:

• I think this whole families stories, and accounts of things are lies- they are weird Asf.
• No divorce record in Hillsborough Co, just paternity in 2024 for a Matthew Craven, unsure what County they lived in (thought the Tampa area).
• …she has the worst heartbreaks over anyone in the world omgggggggg. I can imagine the drama she put them through, only to suddenly be like “just kidding!!” Ugh. She’s emotionally so immature.
