Sister Wives: Kody Shares How One Of His Ex-Wives Shut Down A Potential Proposal

Kody Brown is not done spilling all the wrong things he thinks Christine did to him. Maybe, the fact that Christine was the first of his ex-wives to divorce him made him this way. Because, if we’re being honest, Kody has never had anything good to say about Christine since their split.

For clarity purposes, the once-upon-a-time polygamous marriage of Kody crumbled before his eyes in November 2021 when his third wife Christine Brown divorced him. The following year, in December 2023 his second wife Janelle Brown ditched the marriage too. Just when it seemed like the dust had settled, his first wife Meri Brown followed suit in January 2023. He is currently left with his last and only legal wife, Robyn Brown.

Now, in a recent episode of “Sister Wives Talk Back” special, Kody revealed that after marrying Christine, he wanted to make someone whom he had courted for years even before meeting part of his family but Christine was completely against it.

Sister Wives Spoilers — On How Christine Brown Prevented Kody Brown From Proposing

According to the Brown patriarch, the lady in question was a long time friend of Meri. “There was a woman that I was courting for a very long time before I married Janelle,” said Kody before adding, “Her and Meri were friends.”

He further revealed, “After I married Christine, she still wanted to be family. Christine shut it down the first time because Christine and I were friends, she says, ‘I’d never marry you if you married her.’ And then Christine had no interest in having her in the family after Christine had come into the family.”

After hearing Kody’s claims, Christine defended herself saying, “I didn’t try to prevent Kody from getting married again. I just don’t even remember her wanting to marry Kody. It’s just a lie. I’m sorry, that’s just a lie. And why is he living in the past? Why is this relevant to anything [now]?” But then, Kody who has always been vocal about how he never intended to marry Christine claimed that there were “sacrifices I made to love Christine.”

Upon hearing Kody’s comment, Janelle vented, “Oh man, the sacrifice to love you. I’m like, I would have decked him at that point. What the hell?”
