Sister Wives Kody Brown ‘Accepts’ That Wife Robyn Is His ‘Soulmate’ After Other 3 Marriages Ended

Sister Wives star Kody Brown recently shared an eye-opening realization about his bond with wife Robyn Brown, following the end of his marriages to Christine, Janelle, and Meri Brown.

“When Christine left, she told her children — our children — and even some of Janelle’s children, ‘Dad has a soulmate. That’s Robyn. I want to be free to go find my soulmate,’” Kody, 55, recounted in a December 10 clip from the TLC series shared on Instagram. “When she first told everybody that, that pissed me off.”

Kody Brown’s Shift In Perspective

Over time, however, Kody’s perspective shifted. “But as time has gone on, [my exes] are gone. I’m out of my relationships with these other wives. I’m way more inclined to accept that,” he admitted.Sister Wives Kody Brown ‘Accepts’ That Wife Robyn Is His ‘Soulmate’ After Other 3 Marriages Ended

Christine, 52, was the first wife to part ways with Kody, announcing their separation in November 2021.

She shared a heartfelt message on Instagram: “After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave. We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family. With Love, Christine Brown.”

Following their split, Christine found love again and is now married to David Woolley.

Janelle Brown’s End Of Marriage With Kody Brown

In December 2022, In Touch confirmed that Janelle, 55, had also ended her marriage with Kody. “Janelle is a strong, independent woman and realized she can do it on her own,” an insider revealed, adding that she had “outgrown” the relationship.

Meri, 53, and Kody finalized their separation in January 2023. The pair issued a joint statement on Instagram: “In light of a recent unapproved press release, we feel compelled to share our own truth, in our own way, and in our own timing. After more than a decade of working on our relationship in our own unique ways, we have made the decision to permanently terminate our marriage relationship. During this process, we are committed to kindness and respect toward each other and to all members of our family, and we are also committed to the continued healing of any and all relationships within the family so that we can move forward with forgiveness, grace, and love.”

Reflecting On Robyn Brown’s Marriage Dynamics With Kody Brown

In a November 2023 episode of Sister Wives: One on One, the family reflected on the dynamics between Kody and Robyn, 46, and how their relationship influenced his other marriages.

“When I met Robyn, it was, you know, like first time ever being in love. So that changed the dynamic, I think. And that’s not anybody’s fault,” Kody explained.

Meri observed that Kody and Robyn shared a “soul connection,” an assessment Christine also supported. “I think him marrying her, I saw what a real marriage could be. I saw him with his soulmate. I saw, ‘Oh, I guess he does have it in him to help out. I guess he does have it in him — just not with me,’” Christine reflected.

An insider later told In Touch in November that Kody is going to great lengths to ensure Robyn remains in his life. “Robyn has Kody wrapped around her finger and always has because she was – and is – the favorite wife,” the source revealed. “Truth of the matter is Kody is terrified Robyn will leave him as his other wives did. … Kody goes out of his way to make Robyn feel like a princess. His polygamist dream imploded, and he’s desperate to hold onto this marriage even if it costs him.”
