‘Sister Wives’ Christine Brown Sues Kody For Child Support & More

Sister Wives star Christine Brown has thrilled her TLC fans because she is suing her ex, Kody Brown for child support and custody. But there’s much more to the story. Read on to find out what’s going on in the TLC patriarch’s world right now. 

Sister Wives – Kody Brown Called The Kids Their Mother’s Children

You heard it plenty of times on the TLC show. Most especially, it was directed at Janelle Brown and her boys, Gabe and Garrison, when Kody Brown would talk to her about her kids. Sister Wives fans always felt infuriated because he was the father but he seemed to take little interest in his brood.

Well, here is a shocker. According to Katie Joy from Without a Crystal Ball, who broke the news, and InTouch Weekly who wrote a follow-up story, Kody Brown is not listed as the father on Truely Brown’s birth certificate. And folks, that’s not a rumor. It’s a fact presented by Christine Brown in court documents. 

The Child Support Suit & More

Of course, the ironic thing about it is that Kody Brown once said on Sister Wives how he felt devastated that his former third wife insisted on taking Truely with her to Utah and he wished he could “get her to stay.”

When  Katie Joy reported her findings about the lawsuit by Christine Brown, she said on Instagram:

Christine…filed a lawsuit against Kody Brown for child support and child custody. She also sought a domestic injunction seeking protection from Harassment, intimidation, domestic violence, and…rules to not disparage the other parent in front of the child.

Christine is also asking the court establish paternity of Truely Brown. Currently, Kody is not on Truely’s birth certificate and has not paid any support for Truely.

Notably, InTouch confirmed they saw the saw court documents filed by Christine Brown on Monday, September 16, and verified the story. So, it can be taken as solid reporting.

In the comments of the video that Katie Joy posted on YouTube, many Sister Wives fans reacted with glee and disgust. Here are some of their comments:

• How could this man adopt three other people’s children and not legally recognize his own biological daughter? it’s despicable.
• It’s about time someone took legal action against him.
• If Christine gets this order, if [Kody] sells his house, he will have to use the proceeds to pay back child support! Good job, good timing, Christine!
• If Christine leaving was a knife to Kodster’s kidney…..this must be a samurai sword!
• It’s my opinion that Christine is trying to get a back child support order in place and recorded before he sells the mansion. If she has a recorded judgment against him, it will have to be paid from the proceeds of the sale to pass clean title to the new owner. Go Christine!!!
