Sarah Ferguson Won’t Leave Prince Andrew Because He Needs Protection Now

Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew have been divorced for nearly three decades, but they’re still living together. They’ve even gone from being great co-parents to becoming great co-grandparents.

In fact they’ve often been dubbed as the happiest divorced couple in the world. And indeed they are. But maybe there’s a reason for that?

If you’re wondering whether there’s a secret as to why Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, have continued to see eye to eye several years after their divorce, Ingrid Seward believes she’s got the answer.

Seward appeared on The Sun’s new show Royal Exclusive and talked about the ex-couple’s enduring relationship.

She told royal editor Matt Wilkinson that “Sarah is extremely loyal to Andrew.”

She added: “I do think she found, especially in the early years of her marriage, this arrogance that he has – a ‘don’t you know who I am’ entitlement. She loved him but I think she found that side of him difficult. But she has remained very loyal.”

Andrew has often been referred to as Queen Elizabeth the II’s “favorite son,” Seward said she must have tried to make sure Andrew had someone to help him navigate his disastrous fall from grace.

Seward added: “Sarah must have talked to the Queen and she must have said ‘please look after Andrew for me’ .And that’s what she is going to do. I don’t think she will leave him and I don’t think they’ll get married again.”

Apart from staying with Andrew for the sake of the Queen, Seward also opined that she does it out of repayment for all Andrew’s past support. Seward said Andrew didn’t abandon her when “she was in trouble.”

The expert added: “She is not going to walk out on Andrew because he supported her in all the various scandals she has been involved in.”

Sarah famously made headlines in 1992 when photos surfaced supporting her reported affair with American financial adviser, Steve Wyatt.

Shortly after, she was involved in a most humiliating scandal when she was pictured having her toes sucked by Texan millionaire John Bryan. Andrew stood by her at the time.

Seward said: “It wouldn’t look too good if she walked out on him. She just wouldn’t. I don’t think she’s too loyal, she is just a really lovely character trait. She is very protective of him now because he needs protecting.”
