Sarah Ferguson is not on the royal sidelines by choice. In a recent tell-all, the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, also fondly known as Fergie, revealed that she’s very much interested in being of more help to her ex husband’s family.
Even though Sarah and Prince Andrew have been divorced for decades – nearly thirty years now – they have a peculiar relationship and they both still live together at Royal Lodge.
Here’s everything Sarah has said about helping the Royal Family out.
Sarah Ferguson Makes Desperate Plea In Hopes of Doing More For the Royal Family
Some might see this as definitely not the best time to be making a plea to be let in as a working royal. Why? Prince Andrew was recently caught in a scandal over his relationship with a Chinese businessman, who has now been banned from the UK over spying concerns.
However, it is said that the interview had already been conducted before the news of the Chinese spy broke. Nevertheless, whether it’s the right time or not, Sarah yearns to return as a working royal after losing the privilege following her divorce from Prince Andrew.
She told The Sunday Times: “Queen Camilla was close friends with Mum, which is why we’re so close now. But Diana was my best friend from the age of 14. That’s why it’s so big that the Queen and I get on now. It’s rather nice, and she reminds me of Mum. I admire the extraordinary support she’s giving this country. I want to do as much for the Queen as possible. I wish they’d ask me to do more.”
Sarah Ferguson Would “100 Percent” Stand With Prince Andrew Through Any Scandal
The Duke of York has been involved in quite a number of scandals in recent years; one of them being so enormous that he lost most of his royal titles and privileges.
For better or for worse, one thing he didn’t lose through all this was his ex wife’s love and support, and it seems he’s not going to be losing it anytime soon.
She said: “I won’t let him down. He supports me as much as I support him. He’s supported me through thick and thin, not just marriage or divorce. I was totally and utterly in love with Andrew. I would do it all over again, 100 per cent.”
I don’t think I’ve seen friendlier exes than these two. What do you think?
