Queen Elizabeth Would Be Devastated Prince William And Harry’s Rift Is Taking So Long To Heal

In honor of the second anniversary of her death, royal experts weighed in on what her reaction would have been to William and Harry no longer being on speaking terms.

Royal Feud Would “Break” Queen Elizabeth’s Heart

Even though Queen Elizabeth got a slice of the royal feud before her death in 2022, a royal expert is now claiming that she wouldn’t have handled its continuation well were she still alive.

Former royal butler Grant Harrold told GB News: “The Queen would be devastated, there’s no two ways about it. Part of me, although it’s a terrible thing to say, I’m kind of glad in some ways that she’s not here to see this, because this would absolutely break her heart.”

Harrold shared that the Queen tried her best to keep the family together in her 70 years on the throne because she truly valued the institution of family.

Harrold explained: “Family was everything to her, which is why she used to always be very strict about the family being together for Christmas and Easter and big events and occasions. It was always said that she was upset if the family weren’t together.”

At the height of Megxit and its fallout, the Queen held a short audience with Meghan and Harry, though the details or resolutions made during the meeting remain private to this day.

Queen Elizabeth – Would Be Hoping For Royal Feud To End Wherever She Is, Former Royal Butler Says

Weighing in on whether time will heal William and Harry‘s rift, Harrold added: “I absolutely think is true, and I think the breakdown in the relationship between her grandchildren would deeply upset her.”

“I still hope that time is a healer, and I’m not saying that Harry will return to royal duties, but I’m hoping for the family’s sake that things will eventually go back to some sort of normality. I’m sure wherever the Queen is, she’ll be hoping and praying for the same.”

However, royal feuds aren’t anything new, as Queen Elizabeth herself reportedly had a rocky relationship with her younger sister Princess Margaret.
