Queen Camilla’s Son Tom Parker Bowles To Cash In On His Royal Connections

Wow, another royal book is on the way. No, not a memoir. And this might surprise you, it’s not even one of those biographies written by the so-called royal experts. But it is a royal book, albeit a royal cookbook.

Tom Parker Bowles Capitalizes On His Mother’s Role As A Senior Royal To Launch New Book

Tom Parker will be releasing a royal cookbook that will dive into the royals’ cooking and eating traditions. There might even be space for King Charles to leave an anecdote or two.

Per a description by The Bookseller, the recipe book will “feature more than 100 recipes, including everything from breakfasts, picnic lunches, and dinners, to recipes for coronations and state banquets.”

In addition to these, there will also be “stories about the chefs, customs, and predilections of royal kitchens.”

Titled “Cooking and The Crown: Royal Recipes from Queen Victoria to King Charles III,” the book will officially drop on Sept. 26, 2024.

Tom’s connections with the Royal Family seems to have made him privy to some information that isn’t yet common knowledge as regards to the type of food the royals see fit to put in their mouths, so it’s sure to be an interesting read.

“As a food history geek, I cannot tell you how exciting it has been to write this book. To read original recipes in the royal archive in Windsor and disappear into the lives and reigns (and eating habits) of sovereigns from Queen Victoria onwards,” he told the outlet.

“But this is not about roast cygnet, ortolans, and snipe stuffed with foie gras – rather a proper cookbook, filled with recipes that I’ve loved cooking. And hope that you will too.”

Some have found it necessary to point out that Tom Parker Bowles is getting a free pass where Meghan Markle might have been crucified, but umm… a cookbook never hurt nobody.

What’s it going to uncover? That the royals have a predilection for some exotic slug dish or something?
