Queen Camilla Planned To Skip Prince Harry’s Reunion With King Charles

After being described as the “wicked stepmother” in Harry’s controversial memoir, anyone would forgive her for not wanting to meet him ahead of his predicted meeting with King Charles. But you know, if she’s going to avoid what must be an awkward meeting, she’s going to do it Queen-style.

Queen Camilla Will Reportedly Use This Excuse To Get Out Of Awkward Meeting With Prince Harry

This May Harry will see heading back to the UK to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Invictus Games. During that time, he’s expected to be dropping in to see his old man.

Guess who’s not in “a hurry” to be reunited with him – apart from the Waleses of course? Queen Camilla.

According to a source speaking to the Express, she will likely want to avoid the meeting or get out of it as quickly as possible.

The insider said: “Let’s just say that the Queen might be otherwise engaged. Although the King will have time in his diary for a brief visit, that hasn’t been confirmed yet due to the garden party schedule. Even if Harry does meet with his father, it is highly unlikely that Camilla will be in the same room.”

This will be the second time Harry has visited his father since his cancer diagnosis. The first time was in February and their meeting was rumored to last about 45 minutes.

According to a source, the meeting was kind of forced on the household, though it’s not clear whether Camilla was present or not.

“Harry did the right thing by flying over in February. But it was very much a last minute surprise and was somewhat forced upon the household. The optics wouldn’t have been good if a meeting didn’t take place at that time.”

It is not expected that Harry would prolong his UK visit this May, since he and wife Meghan Markle have scheduled a visit to Nigeria the coming month.

At the same time, the King has returned to public-facing duties after some time absent to receive treatment for cancer, so he’ll likely not be free for a longer meeting with Harry.
