Prince William Offered Olive Branch To Prince Harry In Latest Fond Mention

I guess we all have the right to interpret things any which way we want to, because if you ask me – and many others I suspect – I’d say that William only just acknowledged Harry came on The Passage trip when he name-dropped him in the documentary more than anything else.
But, a royal correspondent claims it’s a “calculated” move.

Royal Family Reportedly Wants To Know How Prince Harry Will Respond After Supposed Olive Branch

For those of us who don’t understand what all the kerfuffle is about, William publicly mentioned Harry for the first time in years in his new ITV1 and ITVX documentary.

He said: “She took Harry and I both there. I must have been about 11, I think probably… Maybe 10. I’d never been to anything like that before.”

The name drop, though casual, has elicited more studying than it should, with journalist Richard Kay, who was a friend of Princess Diana, proclaiming it to be some kind of an “olive branch” of sorts.

He opined in his Daily Mail Palace Confidential column, writing, “Well, you could easily take that latter view that he can’t not mention [Harry’s name]. How could he separate Harry and him from something which his mother took them both to.”

He continued: “But I think there is something calculated and I think it is an olive branch. A few months ago, we had a story – sadly didn’t turn out to be quite right that William had made another gesture towards Harry.

And they pushed back very firmly on this and they didn’t want the newspaper to run the story, which we didn’t. But this time, I think there is something in the wind here.”

“Now, whether we can divine too much about what this means for the future, but we know from all the mood music from California that Harry is desperate to try and build some bridges with his family here again and maybe this is a sign that the family are listening.”

Prince William and Harry reportedly have very limited, if any, conversations these days.

Currently, William is concentrating on his Earthshot Prize and Homewards project, and probably has very little brain space for drama with younger brothers who think he’s their arch-nemesis.
