Prince William Isn't A Fan of Security During Football Games

If you’ve been a royal fan for more than a day, you’re very likely to know that Prince William is a big fan of football (soccer).

Apart from enjoying it alone live, he’s also watched the game with his wife Princess Kate and son Prince George on different occasions.

However, there’s one aspect of attending the games that he’s not a fan of, according to a Lioness.

Prince William “Doesn’t Like” The Level Of Security Around Him When He Enjoys A Football Match

The occupational hazard of being born into the Royal Family and being the heir to the throne is that you almost never know what it’s like to have a life that isn’t a public one.

Wherever you go, there’s sure to be security details following you, and you just can’t wish it away even if you could, because they’re there for a reason.

Speaking on the Prince of Wales, the 29-year-old England and Arsenal Player, Beth Mead, described him as “down to earth” and “lovely.”

Awarded Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) last year, Mead called William “football mad,” adding that he doesn’t necessarily like “all the stuff that comes around him.”
She explained: “Obviously, he’s got all of his bodyguards around, but he just says, ‘Oh, I don’t need it’ and he just loves football.”

Before he graduated to become the Prince of Wales, William was formerly the President of the Football Association for 20 years. To this day, he remains a true Aston Villa fan and was the one who awarded Mead with the MBE for her contributions to football.

She continued to tell Hello!: “It was so nice to see his face light up when he saw someone that he could talk football with.”

Even though he manages to attend some of his fave club’s matches undetected by the media, William has always been known to be a lover of the sport based on the keen concentration he shows whenever he’s watching the game.

In fact, some of his football expressions have gone down in meme history.
