Prince William Fiercely Protective Of King Charles Ahead Of Prince Harry’s UK Visit

Prince Harry will be heading back to the UK this May to take part in the celebration for Invictus Games’ 10th anniversary.

During the trip, it’s been reported that he means to drop in and see his father, who he last saw face to face in February, following his cancer diagnosis.

The meeting then was brief, but there’s reason to believe Harry wants to spend a longer time with his father this time.

Sources say that father and son are intensely working on fixing their relationship.
However, a royal expert believes William will be “worried” on Charles’ behalf as the day draws nearer.

Royal Expert Reveals Reason Prince William Would Worry About King Charles

King Charles is recovering marvelously following his cancer diagnosis in January. In fact, the King is back to taking part in public-facing duties and even has a few travels lined up for him.

Former BBC Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond believes that William, who has reduced his own engagements to spend more time with his wife Princess Kate, will be “fiercely protective” of father King Charles.

She told Bella Magazine: “William and Charles have become so much closer in recent years, particularly after Harry’s exit, so I’m sure William feels fiercely protective towards his father.”

She continued: “But he knows about his work ethic so I think William will just have to accept that he has little choice but to trust that Charles won’t push himself impossibly hard during these first months of treatment.”

Describing Charles’ “workaholic” approach, Bond revealed the King has been known to fall asleep at his desk going over paperwork.

Speaking on Charles’ return to his royal duties, a Palace spokesperson said, “His Majesty is greatly encouraged to be resuming some public-facing duties and very grateful to his medical team for their continued care and expertise.”

Apart from being giddy to finally return to frontline royal duties, the issue of the rift with Harry is also something that’s said to concern him, and it’s something he no doubt wants to fix.
