Prince Harry Has Lost His Popularity Following Megxit And Now Performs For Attention

Prince Harry recently made an appearance on the Tonight Show to tour host Jimmy Fallon’s newly launched Tonightmares attraction at the Rockefeller Center.

During the tour, the 40-year-old prince tried his best to be engaging to the horrors happening around him, even swearing and screaming. Weighing in on Harry’s performance, a royal expert has called him the “court jester” of the family.

Prince Harry may not be the son most publicly acknowledged as resembling Princess Diana, but he finally now has something in common with her.

“Yes, they’re both entertainers,” Ken Wharfe said in a recent chat with The Sun’s Matt Wilkinson.

Continuing on, Wharfe observed that Harry surpassed Prince William in popularity when both princes were growing up, noting that “Harry was always the court jester as a child.”

He further claimed that William felt some jealousy towards Harry due to his shining popularity at the time. “Part of the problem with him and his brother was that William was somewhat jealous of his popularity. But like his mother, she liked to be entertained, she liked to be popular.”

In 2020, Harry and his wife Meghan stepped down as senior members of the royal family, choosing to pursue careers in Hollywood in America.

Since their exit, Harry and Meghan have worked on books, podcasts, docuseries, and marketed themselves as a power couple. They are also high profile speakers at events.

However, Wharfe believes they haven’t actually achieved the level of fame and success they hoped for when they left.

He explained: “I haven’t got a great deal of sympathy for them. Prior to Megxit, he was more popular than the Queen. He has a style that’s so unique, he thought he could do six months in and six months out. It hasn’t worked out like that because the Queen wouldn’t allow that. I think with Harry, he was popular, certainly when he was here in the United Kingdom.”

Can Prince Harry Return In His Role As A Senior Working Member Of The Royal Family

The one question on everybody’s mind right now is whether Harry could ever return in his role as a working member of the family.

Speaking on this, Wharfe shared: “He’s still got something to offer. It’s a question of how he puts it together with his wife and family, to see if he can achieve some sort of comeback. Is there a slot for him? I don’t know, I think we’ve got to wait and see what happens.”
