Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Not Looking For Home In UK Despite Reports

A royal expert recently claimed that Harry is particularly interested in having a base in the UK as he’s starting to miss old friends and the London lifestyle.

However, Vanity Fair has now reported that the couple are not interested in owning a property in the UK for the foreseeable future.

In early 2023, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were given an eviction notice from Frogmore Cottage – the five-bedroom house near Windsor Castle where they lived in the earlier days of their marriage.

Months later, they packed their property out of the place and a year later, the couple are still without a London base.

However, as Harry continues his fight against Home Office over the level of security he and his family should be afforded with in the UK, many has seen this as a sign the Prince means to divide his time between the US and UK.

Royal expert Tom Quinn even claimed in an interview with the Daily Mirror that Harry “misses his old Etonian and army friends, many of whom have not visited, as they don’t get on with Meghan.”

The author of “Gilded Youth” continued: “Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he’s continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security.”

Earlier this year, Harry made headlines when it was discovered that he’d changed his country of residence to the US. The move plainly signified that the Duke, 39, now sees America as his home.

However, Harry continues to make trips to the UK. This year alone has seen him make two solo trips to the UK.

The first one was in February, shortly after the announcement of his father’s cancer diagnosis, and the second one was to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Invictus Games.

Both visits were short and he opted to stay in a hotel during the second one, despite Charles offering him a Palace apartment.

As for owning a property in the UK, maybe someday down the line, but not today.
