The Duke and Duchess of Sussex seem to be keen on moving forward from the good ol’ days when they stirred the pot and criticized the Royal Family back to back to back.

However, a royal expert has an explanation for why they chose to rebrand.

The Sussexes have been making a lot of money moves since the beginning of this year.

Meghan Markle launched her lifestyle company American Riviera Orchard, along with the announcement that she’s filming a new show for Netflix that will see her cook, clean, garden, and hang out with pals.

Prince Harry, on the other hand, is working on a series that will explore the passion and ambition that comes with playing polo on a competitive level.

Speaking to The Sun’s Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson, Richard Palmer touched on the royals’ lives after the Monarchy. He said: “I think they’ve struggled. Initially of course, as so many people have pointed out, Meghan was treated as a breath of fresh air, a fantastic addition to the family by the British media, but there’s been a change.”

“I think the US media has got bored with them continually moaning about the way they’ve been treated,” he continued, adding, “And essentially has said ‘ok right we’ve heard that story, we don’t want to hear about that any longer.’

If you are Americans, essentially, if you’re basically yourself here, then you need to show us that you are enterprising people who are creating new lives for yourselves out here. What have you got to show us?’”

Yes, Meghan did hit a major obstacle when she lost her $20 million deal with Spotify shortly after dropping the first season of her podcast ‘Archetypes,’ but the couple are determined to not let it stand in their way to success.

The Daily Mail royal correspondent observed that the couple have “been beset by problems really. They’ve been one step forward, two steps back all the time.”
