Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Accused of Betraying Megxit Deal

According to royal biographer and expert Tom Bower, part of the Megxit deal was that Harry and Meghan would not use their titles to make money.

However, with Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand being marketed with her Duchess of Sussex title, Bower believes they made a huge u-turn on their word.

Apart from American Riviera Orchard, Meghan has continued to use her royal title for things like the publication of her children’s book and her Archetypes podcast.

Tom Bower Says Harry And Meghan Promised They Were Leaving Monarchy For “Privacy” But Did the Opposite

Royal fans have often called out Harry and Meghan as hypocrites for their many media endeavors since exiting the Royal Family. Since his exit, Harry has done multiple interviews criticizing his family and the kind of upbringing he received due to being a part of it.

Speaking on how the Sussexes have marketed themselves by bashing the Monarchy, Tom Bower said: “They betrayed and ignored the agreement that they settled on. Allegedly they were going to California for privacy and to leave the royal family. They’ve done the exact opposite.”

He further accused them of seeking to profit from their “notoriety.”

He said: “I think Meghan and Harry have had a hugely negative impact on the royal family – the damage has been everlasting. The tragedy is that they tried terribly hard to help Meghan. After all, Charles escorted her into the wedding in St. George’s Chapel.”

He noted that Meghan never intended to stay, despite her claims on Oprah. “The Queen assigned over half a dozen people to look after Meghan and help her get into the ways of the royal family. But they could never win. We now know in hindsight that Meghan never really intended to stay.”

The clues? “The guest list for her wedding showed her real ambition was to be a star in California. Harry’s friends were excluded from the guest list for the dinner in the evening.”
