Prince Harry And Meghan Accused Of Being Exploitative And Upsetting the Late Queen Elizabeth

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s relationship with the Royal Family since they stepped down from their senior roles and did television interviews insulting several of its members have been largely strained, to say the least.

But a royal expert is claiming that the late Queen was also a victim of their damaging accounts and it made her distrust the couple’s motives.

Queen Elizabeth Didn’t Want Her Picture Taken With Lilibet For This Reason

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s multi-million dollar Netflix deal reportedly set the Royal Family on edge due to the fact that they didn’t know what the couple could choose to unleash to the world.

Speaking on this, royal expert Phil Dampier said: “The big fear that the late Queen had and that the King now has is that when [Harry and Meghan] turn up, they do tend to turn up with a sort of Netflix film crew or a photographer in tow. You always get the feeling that whatever happens, whatever the discussions are, that it’s going to sooner or later end up on a programme or in some sort of podcast. And that’s unfortunately where the trust has gone and they just don’t trust [Harry].

As for the reason the Queen wasn’t keen on having her photograph taken with great-granddaughter Lilibet, Dampier opined that it was likely because she feared it could be “exploited” for Harry and Meghan’s media purposes. “Even if the Queen might have been, you know, struggling with her health, I think she was still sharp as a tack and she realised that any photograph that was taken of her with Lilibet could have been exploited,” he said.

He also touched on the Sussexes choosing to name their daughter Lilibet, after the Queen’s nickname, instead of going the route of the Waleses and using her real name.

“I don’t think she was very pleased that it was presented to her as a fate of conflict that the name Lilibet was chosen in the first place, I think she was a little bit upset by that. So yes she put her foot down and said no photographs and I must admit, I don’t blame her, but it’s sad we’ve never seen one.”
