Olivia Plath Claps Back At Clout-Chasing Allegations

Welcome to Plathville star Olivia Plath has many admirers, but the TLC personality also has many haters. Recently, when one of them accused her of clout-chasing, she clapped back hard. Additionally, she took the opportunity to slam Kim Plath. Read on to find out more. 

Olivia Plath Is Opening Up More

Now that Ethan Plath’s ex moved on with a new boyfriend the Welcome to Plathville star seems quicker to talk about things that happened in the past. And, she is not layering it with pre-approved storylines. 

In December last year, Olivia Plath opened up about contracts and lost compensation. At the time, the TLC star alleged that everything was rushed and secret and that a lot of “lies” were told to her about signing up for the show. This week, she addressed that again when she clapped back at a troll who suggested she was a clout-chaser.  

TLC Fan Accuses Her Of Clout-Chasing

On Reddit, Welcome to Plathville fan u/stonerbaby369 grabbed some screenshots from the TLC star’s TikTok. In it, Ethan’s ex had blasted a troll who claimed she was a clout chaser. Sharing it, they wrote in the caption:

From Olivia’s TikTok…I always assumed they had so many videos and pictures from the wedding because ya know… that’s typically what people do but, I find it interesting Kim had TLC shoot it as well.

Olivia Plath Ranted & Slammed Kim 

The TikTok’s intro said, “Don’t play with me, don’t f–n play.” That came when a follower had said, “Your marriage was for clout.” Well, the Welcome to Plathville star was not going to stand for that, and make it clear she felt very angry. 

Olivia Plath wrote:

So insane that I got engaged before the show was a concept and married before the show even started Huh! Also, so insane that my ex MIL wanted a show so badly that she had a production company come shoot my wedding for a TLC promo but didn’t ask me or tell me because she thought I’d say no. (I would’ve.)

Finally, the TLC star noted that if anyone was after clout it was Kim Plath. And, she accused her of using her “wedding” to Ethan and the beginning of her “marriage” for “clout/a show.” Notably, she claimed that her mother-in-law had then gotten paid, but made sure the contract didn’t allow that for Olivia.

TLC Fans React To Olivia Plath Clapping Back

On Reddit, Welcome to Plathville fans who discussed the rant mostly sided with Ethan Plath’s ex. Here are some of their thoughts about it:

• I’m so disgusted by the Plaths and their scheming, sexist, racist, homophobic weirdness…I believe every word she says here.
• I’ve always liked Olivia and never understood the hate towards her.
• Loving this for her! Not giving a f–k is empowering, To know who you are so fully that nothing anyone else says or thinks matters bc you know the truth. Good for her, took me into my 40’s to figure that out.
• I’m living for all of these moments that Olivia is exposing. Like, please spill all the tea that they’re so fucking desperate to keep hidden. You can’t be a reality tv star and expect your skeletons to remain in the closet.

Olivia Plath certainly seems to have a big support base on what can be a very judgemental platform.
