Nicholas Chavez Disappears From General Hospital Closing Credits – Actor Off Contract, Spencer Cassadine Gone For Good?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that some fans on the social media platform X recently raised an eyebrow when actor Nicholas Chavez (Spencer Cassadine) unfollowed all his GH castmates, only following three accounts: GH Executive Producer Frank Valentini, Netflix, and Ryan Murphy Productions.

This led to some wild speculation about Nicholas’s future with the soap opera, and a new revelation has added fuel to the fire when it comes to this rumor.

General Hospital Spoilers – Will Nicholas Chavez Return To The Soap?

GH spoilers suggest that while Spencer Cassadine has been presumed dead, fans were under the assumption that Chavez’s hiatus from the show was only temporary.

After all, his exit from the canvas was so that he could film the Netflix series, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.

GH viewers were expecting his return at some point, after shooting for the project was done. Reports revealed there was still time on his contract that he had to fulfill.

Unfortunately, GH’s closing credits during the Friday, March 29 episode indicate otherwise.

GH Spoilers – Nicholas Chavez No Longer On Contract?

The closing credits for GH’s Friday show revealed that Nicholas is no longer under contract for the soap.

While his last onscreen appearance was January 31, the actor still has appeared on the closing credits, until Friday, March 29.

Being cut from all the closing credits suggests he’s been taken off contract status and is no longer obligated to return as Spencer.

While earlier reports indicated that he still had time on his GH deal and was going to come back to “wrap things up”, it looks like this may no longer be the case.

Could Spencer return as recast? The way the character exited the soap certainly opens up a door for a possible comeback, whether Nicholas Chavez ends up returning to the soap, or another actor takes his place.

Original “Spencer”, actor Nicolas J. Bechtel recently updated his X profile pic and is all grown up, so perhaps he could come back and re-enter the role.
