Ashley opened up about the trauma that she had in her lifetime. She was raped by a neighbor as a child and her father left early on. Her mother was very sick and was sent off to an institution.

Her grandmother died when she was 20 and Ashley didn’t have anyone left to help her out in life. This is when she began catfishing online to try and meet people. She also began to comfort herself with food and this caused her to become obese.
