More Details Emerge On The Arrest Of Artem Chigvintsev

Dancing with the Stars, (DWTS) Pro-dancer, Artem Chigvintsev was arrested for alleged domestic violence and now, more details are emerging on what went down when 911 was called. Interestingly, it seems that it was not his wife, Nikki Garcia who made the call. 

Cops Look Into Artem Chigvintsev’s History 

Dancing With the Stars fans were expecting that Artem would appear in Season 33 of the show, as he paired with Bachelorette Charity Lawson last season. However, it seemed that the domestic clash might have been triggered by ABC’s decision not to use him. 

Initial reports suggested that the cops might suspect Artem Chigvintsev of having a history of domestic violence. However, so far nothing has been released that indicates there is any truth in that. As he and Nikki “Bella” Garcia raise a sweet little boy, Matteo, aged four, fans hope there’s no truth to it. 

More Information About The 911 Call

TMZ reported that in a twist, it was not Nikki who called 911. Instead, it was the Dancing With the Stars pro-dancer. According to their information, he’d dialed the emergency number to report an injury. Additionally, he also claimed that “his wife had thrown shoes at him.”

Furthermore, the former ABC star had also called the 911 number to change his mind and stated that there was no need for a medical response. Nevertheless, police still attended the scene. There, it was Artem Chigvintsev who ended up being arrested for an alleged assault. As he came from Russia, perhaps the ABC star was unaware that the cops would still attend after the medical call was canceled.

Dispatcher Was Concerned About The Child 

Apparently, while the ABC dancer was calling in, the dispatcher noted that a “child” was at the scene and that sounds of a domestic dispute could be heard in the background. It’s not clear who the victim is, but as the police arrested Artem, injury could have been seen on Nikki. 

As she is asking for privacy, for now, there is a lot of guesswork going on among DWTS fans. One thing that they do know, is that it’s unlikely that Artem Chigvintsev will be asked to work on Dancing With the Stars again.

In other news, it seems that there might have been an argument after Artem heard that ABC would not use him for Season 33 of DWTS. Apparently, he was released on $25,000 bail on the same day of his arrest, per The Express.
