According to the court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun, Meri Brown’s new boyfriend Amos Andrews dealt with huge financial blows. He reportedly had over $20,000 in debt.

This detail comes almost a week after Meri and Amos confessed on Instagram they filed for bankruptcy in the past.

On Tuesday, January 16, Meri unveiled her new boyfriend to the world. She revealed that she’s been secretly dating him for six months. Amos was previously married four times.

His most recent marriage was to Jennifer Andrews. The couple got married on September 7, 2016, and divorced on March 18, 2021.

Jennifer cited irreconcilable differences. The former couple doesn’t share any kids. However, their personality property was divided during their divorce.

Each was ordered to pay debts in his or her name. According to the court documents, Amos was responsible for over $20k of debt.

Amos Andrews is a serial monogamist. He’s hoping that the fifth time is a charm with Meri Brown. It’s unclear how the two met. It was also revealed that Amos failed to pay child support for seven years. He hasn’t paid child support for 12 years.

Also, his reality TV obsession was revealed. Meri Brown’s new boyfriend “wanted to date” the TLC star before they met.

According to In Touch, Andrew dated someone else before meeting Meri. The timeline of that breakup and his new relationship is also unclear.

“He knows Meri. He watched the show when we lived in Las Vegas,” one of Amos’ ex-wives, who remained anonymous, told In Touch Weekly. “He wanted to find where she lives, so he knows who she is. I wouldn’t be surprised if he took his ex to the bed and breakfast [Lizzie’s Heritage Inn] just to run into her to make that chance encounter.”

Amos Andrews resides in Salt Lake City. Meri Brown moved into her B&B after she ended her marriage to her ex-husband Kody Brown.

His ex-wife alleges that he was always a fan of Sister Wives. Amos’ reality TV obsession was so bad that he held out hope that he would meet his favorites.

“He’s a fan of Sister Wives, all the [Real] Housewives,” she continued. “When we lived in California, a lot of times we would go into Coto de Caza and he would try to find where the Housewives lived. He’s kind of fan-girl-obsessed. He would love to run into people like that.”
