Meghan Markle’s Team Can’t Land Duchess New Deals, As Prince Harry Set To Make A Major Move

Spotify dropped the Sussexes last year after they were left underwhelmed with Meghan Markle’s “Archetypes.” Since then, insiders say it’s been hard for Meghan to close deals, despite the fact that she’s currently being represented by a top Hollywood agency, WME.

You can guess that this isn’t going down well with Meghan’s big plans to be one of Hollywood’s leading people.

Source Claims Meghan Markle Does the “Lion Share” of the Networking

It’s no doubt that Meghan Markle has more Hollywood experience than Prince Harry, so she’s been at the frontlines when it comes to working towards getting new deals for their brand.

Reports say she’s reached out to a number of celebrities, including “Pretty Woman” actress Julia Roberts, either for an Archewell project or for personal ones.

However, an insider claims Meghan wants to step back this year so that Harry can take the reins.

The source told Heat magazine: “This year is make or break for them, and Meghan’s told Harry to step up.

So far it’s been her doing the lion’s share of the networking, and she’s stressed – largely because so many deals have fallen apart. She wants to take a step back and feels it’s time for Harry to get his game face on.”

This is coming after biographer Tom Bower revealed that the Duchess, 42, is “desperate” for endorsements. While her team has reportedly opened communications with a number of luxury brands, all talks have ended in disappointment.

“I think she’s looking desperately for an endorsement with something like Dior and that’s been a disappointment because she hasn’t landed one contract,” Bower said.

While Meghan Markle has continuously said she isn’t interested in doing projects that require her to act, the lack of deals elsewhere seems to be making her to reconsider her stance.

“Meghan’s been tight-lipped about potentially revisiting the series, but there’s hope that if the timing is right, something can be worked out,” a source told Us Weekly December 2023.
