Meghan Markle Worked Her “Butt Off” To Grow Her Acting Career

Though the Duchess of Sussex, 42, has moved on from acting, there was once a time when it was her world and she did her best, as most other young talent, to grow in her role.

According to a high-powered Hollywood exec, she wasn’t afraid to speak out on things that will help drive her career forward.

Meghan Markle’s Work Ethics Praised By Top NBC Exec

Even though “Suits” will be coming back without Meghan Markle, let’s take a moment to reflect on how she was a mainstay character in the show up until the point she left it in season 7 to marry Britain’s Prince Harry.

However, she didn’t start out as one of the top stars – or top guns, should I say? – she got there by her grit and determination.

“Meghan was incredible,” “Queen of Cable” Bonnie Hammer, who currently serves as Vice Chairman at NBCUniversal, said of the Duchess, adding that she was “inquisitive.”

Hammer first met Meghan first to face about a decade ago, as a young talent trying to find her way in the world of television.

“She was amazing on staff, but she wasn’t afraid to raise her hand and say, ‘Can you explain? Can you help me with something if I want to be more than just a young star?’” the 72-year-old exec said.

She then recalled that Markle started in a minor role on the legal drama before going on to become a key star due to inspiring everyone with her amazing work ethics.

“She was one of the more junior people on the show, and she grew into part of the ensemble because she worked her butt off,” Hammer recalled. “She tried hard, asked questions, and had a can-do attitude.”

“She was very strong, and she was amazing on the show, and again did she absorb what I said,” she said, adding, “I think she absorbed what anyone and everyone told her that she believed would help her performance or help her do well in that situation. So I give her a lot of credit for that.”
