Meghan Markle Considered Herself the Royal Family’s Diana Next To Princess Kate’s Senior Role

One of the things that has plagued Meghan Markle since her earlier days as a member of the Royal Family was that she cosplays Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.
Now in a new biography about the Beckhams, a royal biographer has put forward the claim that Meghan actually saw herself as the Royal Family’s new Princess Diana.

Meghan Markle Was Reportedly Not Happy She Was Lower Than Princess Kate In Royal Family Hierarchy

According to Meghan Markle, she was forced to exit the Royal Family with her husband because the conditions they were met with weren’t conducive for her. In her Oprah interview, she complained of passport ceasing, negligence, racism, and many other things.

However, author Tom Bower believes there was another layer to her unhappiness within the Royal Family and that is the knowledge that she is lower than Princess Kate in the perking order.

Writing in the ‘House of Beckham,’ Bower claimed that Meghan showed discontent towards the fact that “in the royal hierarchy she was subservient to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and the future Queen.”

This wouldn’t be the only Royal Family tradition that Meghan apparently couldn’t come to terms with, as, according to her, she wasn’t totally happy to have been made to curtsy to the late Queen Elizabeth during their first meeting.

In her and Harry’s Netflix docuseries, she described feeling a bit mortified at being told to curtsy to the late Queen, recalling that she argued with Harry on the fact that the old momarch was his grandmother. She also did an exaggerated form of curtsy on the show that did not sit well with royal fans.

Apart from not being happy with certain aspects of the Royal Family, Bower further claimed that during the tour of Australia, Meghan saw herself as “the Royal Family’s new Diana” due to her shining popularity at the time.

Bower’s book on the Beckhams also provided an indepth look at why the Beckhams and the Sussexes’ relationship disintegrated.
