Meghan Markle Blasted By Nigeria’s First Lady For Her “Naked” Dressing

Meghan Markle’s 3-day tour of Nigeria wardrobe has been dividing fans ever since she made the journey to the West African country, and now the country’s First Lady has shared her reaction on it.

Meghan Markle’s dressing during her and her husband Prince Harry’s “faux royal tour” of Nigeria had been proclaimed not on par with a true royal wardrobe, even before the First Lady of Nigeria’s reaction.

Most of the clothes she wore in the country were either backless, or had a long slit to show off her legs.

This provoked strong reactions from royal fans who think that she shouldn’t have dressed like that to visit schools and meet the country’s politicians.

The Duchess’ clothing and jewelry in Nigeria was estimated to cost over $120,000, and yet many weren’t impressed by it.

One of those people who aren’t impressed by her choice of dressing happened to be Nigeria’s First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who thought that Meghan’s style was far from being a good thing to emulate.

To mark her husband’s first year in office, The First Lady spoke at the “Celebrating the Woman” event in Abuja, and recognized the impact women have in families and societies. However, she shunned against emulating Hollywood stars.

At the event, The First Lady said: “The message here is we have to salvage our children. We see the way they dress. They keep forgetting that Nigeria, we are beautiful. You can see what they showcase on the stage, I said, ‘We are fashionable, we see what is going on’. We are not having the Met Gala. And everyone, the nakedness, is just everywhere and the men are well-clothed.”

“And they’re all beautiful girls, but they should be confident in who they are. They do not want to mimic and try to emulate film stars from America. They don’t know where they come from.”

In a clear sign that she wasn’t impressed by what Meghan wore during her visit, she said, “Why did Meghan come here looking for Africa?”
