Michael Cardwell was just sure that he would win custody of his child after Anna’s death. There has been a lot of tension and drama with this custody hearing and the court did confirm that Anna was Kaitlyn’s “only known living parents.”

Anna and Michael haven’t been together in years and the court felt that Kaitlyn would be in a healthier environment with June and her family and not with her biological father.

Michael and Anna were married from 2014 to 2017 and he served June on December 22 to win custody of his daughter, who is 11 years old. She is Anna’s oldest child and he felt that with Anna’s death, he deserved to have his daughter in his home.

This wasn’t the way that the court saw it at all. In fact, the rumors are beginning to swirl that he only wanted custody of Kaitlyn to receive financial help.

With the final decision still lingering, June currently has emergency guardianship of Kaitlyn. There will be another trial coming up soon, but the date has yet to be determined.

June has been doing her best to step it up as a parent, yet again, but she has been getting a lot of backlash recently for her behavior on social media. On New Year’s Eve, for example, a lot of her fans thought that she was doing drugs during a livestream.

Anna’s fans were also concerned about Anna’s wish to give custody of her daughter to June.

They went for long periods where they didn’t even speak to one another and June’s role in Anna’s life was very inconsistent.
