Long Flight To Australia Arranged For King Charles Just Weeks After Cancer DiagnosisKing Charles is planning to make his first trip to Australia as a sovereign, and it’s coming mere weeks after announcing his cancer diagnosis and embarking on his treatment journey.

Australia Announces King Charles’ Visit Despite Monarch’s Cancer Diagnosis

King Charles’ most recent visit to Australia was in 2018 to open the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast. However, in general he’s made 15 official visits to the country over the years, but none of them as monarch.

“Australia is preparing for a possible visit from his Majesty the King to Australia later this year,” the Australian leader announced. “The King has shown his compassion for Australians affected by recent natural disasters, just as Australians have shown compassion and support for the King following his cancer diagnosis.”

“The King, Queen and members of the Royal family are always welcome in Australia. My government is engaging with states and territories on options for a possible royal visit.”

King Charles’ first visit to Australia in the 1960s as an exchange student at the exclusive Geelong Grammar School near Melbourne. He spent two terms there.

This comes as a royal expert revealed the ways aides are helping the King to recover. One of those ways was keeping the King’s audience with his son Harry short so that heated discussions don’t arise and raise his stress levels.

Robert Jobson said: “You don’t want his blood pressure going up. The King’s not very well, whatever type of cancer it is, he’s undergoing treatment. The best thing for him is calm. The best thing for him is calm.”

Jobson noted that if the conversation had carried on longer, it would no doubt have been bad for the King as ugly topics were bound to rear up.

“After the initial kiss and hug, love you dad, hope you get better soon, what issues are going to get raised? Things that will get your blood pressure rising.”

Charles is the first monarch to make his health details public, and he reportedly did so to boost “public understanding” for cancer patients worldwide. However, he failed to reveal what type of cancer he suffers from.
