Kody Brown Shocks Fans By Using The ‘C-Word’

Sister Wives fans were shocked because Kody Brown used the “c-word” on reality TV. However, TLC fans shouldn’t confuse the word with its normal associations. Instead, he used it in reference to a “cult.” Still, he was not expected to admit that he might have raised his kids in one. 

Kody Brown Treated His OG Kids Badly

TLC fans are convinced that nearly all of the OG3 kids feel their dad treated them badly. And, they put it down to the faith that their parents belong to. There are a few things that the Sister Wives show revealed to viewers. One was that loads of wives and lots of kids meant a special place in heaven for the sperm donor. 

So far, none of his OG kids seem interested in living a polygamous life. And certainly, none of the grandkids are being raised in a cultish sort of church. Of course, Robyn Brown’s daughters might lean that way because recently the TLC show revealed them talking to Robyn Brown about going to church. 

The ‘C-Word’ By Kody brown Surprises TLC Fans

In this week’s episode of Sister Wives, Robyn Brown and Kody discussed Breanna and Aurora wanting to go to church. Although he was all for it when he married Meri Brown, the church doesn’t seem to be on his list of favorites anymore. He said to her that he had his reservations about his wife and kids going to church too long without him. Actually, he feared other men might get frisky and put in the trot with Robyn. 

Later, in his confessional, Kody Brown talked about church and cults, which seems amazing to long-time viewers of the TLC show. The Sister Wives patriarch said, in part:

You can lose your children to a bad marriage. You can lose your children to just huge disagreements between the two of you.You can lose your children in a divorce, or you can lose your children to a cult.

Shocked Fans Discuss The ‘Cult’

When fans discussed Kody Brown talking about a cult, some people on Reddit bashed him for blaming the church for his estrangement from his kids. However, they also seemed a bit freaked out because he clearly knew and endorsed raising his OG kids in a cult. Here are some of their reactions:

• Lots of real talk. Him letting us all know that he’s realized he was in a cult?? Literally never thought that wound (sic) happen. And he’s saying it to Robyn, who seems to still buy into it? She looked uncomfortable and I’d love to see more of that. This episode had moments that were closest to reality that we’ve gotten in years I think.
• I hate to admit this because I despise that man, but Kody ranting about culty religions was the most interesting part of the episode. Most people originally tuned into the show to gawk at people in a cult, lbr. Now that they’ve left the cult, I’d like to hear more of them discuss that instead of their wedding dress for the 500th time.
