He presented himself as the head of the family. Kody pitched the show to TLC to normalize plural marriage. For several seasons, it worked for the family.

She wanted to be part of a plural family. What she may not know is that Kody protected her from his other wives.

He created this chaos to control his wives. At the start of Sister Wives, Kody Brown, and his wives lived in one big house. He balanced his marriage and children in Lehi, Utah until they had to move. During that time, Kody courted Robyn and introduced her into the plural family as the fourth wife.

Kody tried to maintain a balanced plural marriage. Sister Wives fans noticed that he always sided with Robyn Brown. He spent most of his time making her happy while fighting with his other wives. He wanted them to accept his behavior. No questions asked.

Over the years, Kody Brown caused chaos among his wives. He claimed that he was overwhelmed with balancing his marriages.

Instead, Kody would exert control over his wives, so they wouldn’t trust each other. Christine, Janelle, and Meri struggled with Kody’s relationship with Robyn.

Kody Brown – Caught In Lie

Kody Brown didn’t create a plural family. He caused chaos and drama. Christine and Janelle were never close as a result. They only became close after Christine left Kody. The two are now the best of friends.

Kody wanted to keep his wives apart. He didn’t want them to get too cozy with one another. He saw himself as the head of the family. Kody also proclaimed that “Love should be multiplied, not divided.”

Yet, he did just the opposite. Kody Brown didn’t spread his love among his wives and kids. He gave it mostly to Robyn and their children. The family became more divided when they moved out of Utah and into separate homes.
