Christine Brown Had Problems With Kody & Truely

You probably recall that when Kody’s former third wife was leaving for Utah, her ex-husband made a lot of drama about Truely leaving. In fact, he wanted his daughter to remain in Flagstaff. And, he said that he felt very sorry that she had to go away. That surprised TLC fans who didn’t notice him being much of a stellar dad to Truely.

As for Truely Brown, she seemed more than happy to go with her mom and surprisingly seemed unphased about the divorce. These days, she seems to be enjoying life living with Christine and her new husband, David Woolley. However, her mom had issues with Kody Brown and claimed that his name wasn’t even on the birth certificate. Hence, the need for the paternity test.

Kody Brown Files A Response

As part of her action, Christine Brown also filed for a domestic injunction seeking protection from harassment, intimidation, domestic violence, and a clause that neither of them would put the other parent down in front of Truely. And allegedly, the Sister Wives patriarch hadn’t paid any child support.

Although Kody Brown has filed a response, it doesn’t seem like a toxic fight will be made available to the public. According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, everything is secret for the eyes of the two TLC stars and their attorneys only. At least the teen is being protected from too much public scrutiny.

Sister Wives Patriarch Has An Attorney

In their report, The Ashley’s noted that court documents indicated a response by the TLC dad was done by a “newly hired lawyer [who] appeared for him on October 13” in a Utah court. Additionally, the outlet wrote:

It appears that the paternity test may be underway as well, as a fee was paid for something paternity-related on Wednesday, the same day that Kody [Brown] filed his answer to Christine’s lawsuit.

Sister Wives Dad Isn’t Fighting With Fire?

Apparently, Kody Brown’s pocket doesn’t run to engaging a top-notch attorney as the outlet also dug into that. Although the name of the lawyer wasn’t reported, reviews on the legal counsel reportedly don’t rate highly on either “Yelp” or “avvo.com.”

Some TLC fans have been talking on social media about Kody Brown possibly fighting back with a counter-claim. But, with little information and the privacy of Truely Brown being protected, there is not much to discuss. Perhaps that’s best.
