King Charles Willing To Take Extreme Measures To Get Prince Andrew To Vacate Royal Lodge?

King Charles Willing To Take Extreme Measures To Get Prince Andrew To Vacate Royal Lodge?King Charles is reportedly turning up the pressure on Prince Andrew after his continued refusal to vacate Royal Lodge, despite being told to do so for two years now.

Since Andrew no longer receives royal grants due to no longer being a working royal, Charles fears he won’t be able to properly maintain the grand 30-room abode.

Instead, Charles wants him to move into the more modest Frogmore Cottage, which Harry and Meghan permanently vacated last year.

Royal Source Says King Charles’ “Kindness” Towards Prince Andrew Has A Limit

Getting Harry and Meghan to vacate a royal residence is one thing, but getting Prince Andrew to leave his luxurious palace for a smaller one is another more harder undertaking.

“The King’s kindness is not without limit,” a friend of Charles told the Times on Saturday.

There is a very good option for Andrew to move into Frogmore Cottage, recently vacated by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. [It] also has the benefit of being within the Windsor Castle security cordon hence reducing the need for alternative round-the-clock security for Royal Lodge.”

While Frogmore Cottage is nowhere near as posh as Royal Lodge, it does have four bedrooms and will be easier to maintain than the Royal Lodge, which comes with a hefty £400,000-a-year maintenance cost.

The friend added: “He [Andrew] is taking longer than desirable to recognise the reality of the situation, even though it is clearly the most sensible course of action. If he doesn’t agree to move to a property better suited to his needs, then the King may have to reconsider the levels of support he is willing to provide.”

A friend of Andrew had previously revealed that one of the reasons Andrew doesn’t want to move into Frogmore Cottage was because it looks like his nephew was forced to vacate because of him. The source, at the time, said he doesn’t want to be caught in the middle of the father-son rift.

To top it off, Andrew is said to be attached to the home, since it was where he raised his two daughters, having lived there since 2004.
