King Charles Wants To Attend This Year’s Trooping The Colour Despite Health Challenges

King Charles has reportedly already set his staff into figuring out a way he can take part in this year’s Trooping the Colour regardless of the constraints of his cancer diagnosis and recovery journey.

Options are already being explored about the carriage ride and other things, and while the King hasn’t undertaken any public-facing duties following the shock diagnosis, he is said to be keen on not missing the upcoming celebrations. It is, after all, one of the highlights of the royal year.

The King is determined to attend his official birthday celebrations, if ways are provided to make sure his health doesn’t take a hit from the stress that will well arise on that day.

One of the ways to reduce the stress might include watching the military spectacular from a podium instead of on horseback as usual.

The event is due to be held in London on Saturday, June 15. But sources say that planning for the event is going on smoothly, giving cause for optimism, not unless some sad occurrence happens within that time.

“There are a number of key events His Majesty would love to attend coming up in the diary and this is at the top of the list,” a source said.

King Charles Reportedly Told By Medical Team To Skip Events With Large Crowds As Cancer Treatment Progresses

Finding its origins in the 17th century, Trooping the Colour is one of the biggest military ceremonial events of the year.

Around 1,200 military men and 200 horses are involved in the parade, with several musicians and performers making the day that much grander.

In true British spirit of pomp and pageantry, King Charles was supposed to ride down from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade via the mall to inspect the troops.

After this, the monarch then rides back to the Palace to greet the watching crowds and of course observe the traditional flypast by the RAF.

However, the King has been advised to avoid events with large crowds, and this event easily draws in thousands of people from all over the country and around the world.

At the moment, he is currently undergoing outpatient treatment in London, although it’s been reported that he continues to do his work behind-the-scenes.

No one knows when he plans to return to public-facing duties or when he can, but the treatments reportedly leave him tired and dizzy, even though the cancer was discovered in its early stages.
