King Charles Doesn’t Want “Confrontation” With Brother Prince Andrew While He’s On Holiday

It’s a popularly known royal tradition that every year the royals head off to Balmoral Castle to enjoy a summer break. The men could fish, the women could enjoy a nature walk or drive a horse and the children have plenty of ground space to put up any games their imagination could conjure.

This year is no difference, despite the double health scare the family witnessed in January with King Charles and Princess Kate‘s double cancer diagnosis. This is why King Charles particularly isn’t up for any drama with brother Prince Andrew, who is also there. Queen Camilla is reportedly making sure the duo’s meeting is kept at a minimum.

Queen Camilla Reportedly Blocking Talks Between King Charles and Brother Prince Andrew

The Frogmore Cottage, which Harry and Meghan vacated on the account it’ll go to Andrew, has remained empty for over a year now. Why? Andrew doesn’t want to leave his sweet sweet Royal Lodge with its expansive land and property. He’s lived there since 2003 and it’s also where he raised his daughters.

However, Charles is reportedly anxious for Andrew to move out of the property standing on Windsor grounds due to its high yearly maintenance cost.

With the brothers at Balmoral Castle for a summer holiday, Camilla is reportedly trying her best to keep the peace for the benefit of all the parties involved.

A close friend of the King and Queen said: “Charles does not like confrontation at the best of times and especially when he is on holiday. They are not in each other’s pockets at Balmoral and probably only regularly see one another at dinner.”

The insider continued, “The cancer treatment has been tiring and it makes him often fall asleep. I can’t think of anything guaranteed to make him go off the deep end than to have Royal Lodge brought up.”

Sharing how Camilla intervened in the Royal Lodge quarrel going on between Charles and Andrew, the source added, “At Christmas, Andrew did try to get a meeting with the King and she kept him at arm’s length.”
