King Charles’ Attitude In New Documentary Contradicts Prince Harry’s Account In “Spare”

Prince Harry’s memoir was chock-full of interesting tidbits regarding the trappings and delights of Royal life.

However, with King Charles’ latest appearance in a new documentary, fans are wondering whether there’s much truth behind Harry’s dramatic retellings, or if he was just trying to make things a bit more interesting to sell his book.

King Charles Deemed “Extraordinarily Affectionate” By Bishop of Hereford

King Charles was seen being affectionate in an extract of the BBC production of his Westminster Abbey coronation. In the clip, Charles can be seen greeting Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte with kisses on the cheek after the Princess curtseyed.

In another scene, Prince William is seen practicing the kiss of homage with his father.
The Bishop of Hereford, Richard Jackson, said he was struck by how “extraordinarily affectionate” the family were in the extract.

“They’re clearly a very close family”, he told the Telegraph. “In a sense you felt you’re part of a family occasion as well as a royal occasion and a national occasion.”

However, Prince Harry described a totally different scenario in his book, writing: “The older generation maintained a nearly zero-tolerance prohibition on all physical contact.”

“No matter how much you might love someone, you could never cross that chasm between, say, monarch and child. Or Heir and Spare.”

He also accused his brother of getting the better breakfast and the better room in the Castle while they were growing up.

Following the publication of “Spare,” tensions have heightened between Harry and big brother Prince William, so much so that William is said to have cut off all communications with Harry.

Friends of the heir say he’s in no hurry to fix his broken relationship with his younger brother.
On the other hand, Harry has started making moves to reunite with his father.

He and wife Meghan reportedly reached out for the first time in months to wish the monarch a happy 75th birthday.
