Kim Cattrall Shares Bad News With Sex And The City Fans

Sex And The City fans were divided over the series’ Max reboot “And Just Like That.”  One reason the SATC spinoff didn’t win over diehard fans is because it was missing a familiar face.  Is Kim Cattrall returning for season 3?  Keep reading to find out!

Kim Cattrall – Updates Sex And The City Fans

Sex And The City reboot “And Just Like That” is set to return with all new episodes in 2025 on Showtime’s Max. 

When the season 2 finale aired fans were thrilled that Kim Cattrall finally debuted on the series as fan fave Samantha.  Considering the fact that she popped up in the finale, fans assumed that meant Samantha would be a part of Season 3, sadly that’s not the case.

Kim Cattrall took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to address the confusion around Samantha’s return to And Just Like That season 3. 

Life & Style Magazine’s inside source told them that Cattrall had been filming and Showtime was “just waiting for the right time to announce it.”  Kim shut the reports down quickly and responded on X by saying, “Aw that’s so kind but I’m not.”

There was a lot of drama around the And Just Like That Season 1 cast.  It’s still unclear why exactly Kim Cattrall is not a main cast member on the reboot. 

It’s no secret that Showtime gave up a large percentage of potential viewers by not bringing Samantha back to the series full time like her co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis.

Sex And The City – Behind The Scenes Beef?

Rumors have always been floating around that there was beef between Parker, Nixon, Davis, and Kim Cattrall.  But, that’s never been confirmed by any of the actresses.

So far And Just Like That season 3 spoilers are scarce, but at least we know for a fact none of the new episodes will be about Samantha.
