When Welcome to Plathville first premiered on TLC, neither Barry Nor his wife seemed particularly attractive. However, there was no denying that their kids were good-looking. Ethan has a square jaw and beautiful blonde hair. His siblings looked attractive too. And, before Moriah started getting so many tattoos and a pained look on her face, she looked good to TLC fans as well. 

Of course, Micah Plath might be the most attractive of all the kids. Remember, Olivia Plath helped the Welcome to Plathville star audition for his first modeling gig. This week, TLC fan u/apaneseTwang posted a photo of the Plath parents on Reddit. They did not say where they found it. But, it was taken before the TLC show started airing on TV. In their caption, they said, “Barry and Kim…Circa 1997; before the creation of Plathville.” 

In the photo that showed Kim and Barry Plath, it was nighttime. Clearly, they were out on a date somewhere. Kim Plath looked much slimmer than she did on the Welcome to Plathville show. Barry was always quite slim until he bulked up. He looked cute as his wife leaned her head against his shoulder.

It seems like no big surprise that Welcome to Plathville fans would talk up a storm about the throwback pic of Kim and Barry Plath. After all, they looked much younger and still in love. Here are some reactions from the discussion:
