Kevin Costner Confirms He’d Work With “Yellowstone” Creator Taylor Sheridan Again

Kevin Costner’s Yellowstone future remains uncertain; however, he recently stated he’s open-minded when it relates to working with the creator of the show, Taylor Sheridan, again.

The buzz of Kevin’s Yellowstone exit first hit in May 2023, which built until the climax of it all hit in November of last year. Following an intense cliffhanger during the show’s Season 5, Part 1, the absence of Costner creates a major challenge for Yellowstone’s creative team.

Costner has mentioned that he’d “love” to return to the show, but with production about to begin on the series for the last season, and no news regarding reconciliation in sight, the clock is ticking on the fate of John Dutton’s story on the drama.

Costner admitted to Entertainment Weekly, during an interview, that he and Yellowstone producers “haven’t” talked. Still, he also confessed the admiration he has for the creator of the show, Taylor Sheridan.

Kevin states that Taylor is doing “Special work in a lot of different ways.” He adds that if Sheridan sees him in something he that he wants him to do, then perhaps they could end up doing something together.

Costner notes that Sheridan “likes a lot of the things I like, and the idea of us working together is not out of the question for me.”

As fans anxiously await the final episodes off Yellowstone, John Dutton’s fate on the show still remains a mystery. Will the family’s patriarch have a definitive conclusion, or will a new chapter be ushered in for the Duttons? Only time will tell.

The only silver lining in all this is Kevin Costner insists his journey with Taylor Sheridan may not be over, and with a window of hope that he could return to Yellowstone, fans will have to wait and see how this all unfolds.
