When it comes to discussing foods that her and her little ones enjoy, the Princess of Wales does not shy away from spilling the olives.
But it seems that talking about the type of meals she enjoys with her children goes against the Queen’s strict rule on food. Didn’t know the “never explain, never complain” mantra applied to food as well.
Princess Kate’s Love of Olives Revealed As She Recovers From Cancer
It’s been a while since we last saw our Princess of Wales as she is undergoing treatment for preventative chemotherapy. According to the royal, she means to get better and get back to doing the job she so much loves.
But as she recovers in peace, a sweet little conversation she had with four-year-old Rafael Chana at an official outing to Great Ormand Street Hospital in 2018 has resurfaced.
In the footage, we see the Princess in a cheerful conversation with Chana. “I used to eat lots and lots of olives when I was little as well,” she said.
Writing more on Kate’s need for olives, royal reporter Rebecca English took to X to share, “The Duchess of Cambridge [now Princess of Wales] revealed today that her daughter, Princess Charlotte, loves olives and she encourages both her and Prince George to cook with her.”
While this bit of news delighted royal watchers, it’s perhaps a bit against the late Queen Elizabeth the II’s rules on food.
According to sources, the late Queen didn’t want people to know her favorite food because she feared it might be served up at every engagement and therefore ruined.
However, it seems that Kate has no such qualms about it and has even given fans an insight into her kitchen and even her children’s favorite vegetables. “We grow our own vegetables, we’ve got carrots, beans, beetroot’s a massive favourite, Louis absolutely loves beetroot.”
While the late monarch loved to keep her preferred foods close to her heart, some of them have leaked in the past.
For example, we know the Queen favored delicate sandwiches filled with smoked salmon and cream cheese, venison hamburgers, and chocolate biscuit cake, as reported in a 2022 Food & Wine magazine.
In other news, Queen Camilla’s son Tom Parker Bowles will soon be releasing a memoir that will explore the eating habits and royal dishes prefered by members of the Royal Family, so maybe we might learn more about how royalty dines from it.
