Rumors surrounding a potential split between pop singer Jessica Simpson and her husband, former NFL player Eric Johnson, have intensified in recent weeks.

Multiple sources suggest that close friends of Simpson have discreetly sought legal counsel in Los Angeles, raising questions about the state of the couple’s ten-year marriage.

According to TMZ, a source with direct knowledge mentioned that in late March, someone in Simpson’s circle reached out to a Los Angeles divorce attorney.

Although it’s unclear whether Simpson directly requested this, the person conveyed to the lawyer that Simpson was “unhappy” in her marriage.

While no direct steps were taken by Simpson herself, the tone of the message was reportedly firm. A separate contact from Simpson’s team also approached another divorce lawyer, but there has been no further follow-up.

Speculation about the couple’s relationship deepened following a cryptic Instagram post from Simpson. In her post, she wrote: “Interviews in my Nashville music room where I unearth my singular magic. This comeback is personal, it’s an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve.”

The post left fans curious, with many interpreting it as a reflection on her marriage. Some followers commented, asking if the message hinted at issues with her husband, while others offered messages of support.

Jessica’s sister, Ashlee Simpson, was questioned by TMZ regarding her sister’s post. Ashlee’s brief response of “No” left fans uncertain whether she was denying the rumors or simply unaware of the details.
