Counting On alum Jason Duggar is facing a lawsuit and allegedly represented himself as someone able to do repairs to a home when he was not registered as a licensed contractor.

Now, court documents reveal a text that the former TLC star sent to seemingly try and wriggle out of completing the job.

Jason Duggar Didn’t License His Construction Company

Most of the young men from Counting On are either engaged in construction or have been in the past. The Duggar boys were known for repairing and flipping homes.

So, TLC fans would expect them to know the law. But, in the case of Jason, he had done tree work in the past and fans suspected he had no training in that. Therefore, critics think the family feels entitled to do whatever they please.

The lawsuit and allegations against Jason Duggar by Mark Thompson seem quite serious. He was accused of fraudulently undertaking work on a home in Arkansas and then never completing the job. Until September last year, it seems that the company was registered to operate, but that fell away, per InTouch Weekly.

The text That Jason Sent

According to the outlet, a long list of work wasn’t done, and the owner had to chase the Counting On alum. In fact, the legal rep said that it’s been going on for over a year and still the problem of incomplete work has not been resolved. Understandably, the person who hired the TLC star is getting angry.

Apparently, Jason Duggar tried to wriggle out of the work by sending a text that ended up in court papers. The outlet cited Jason as texting:

Mark I have a question for you, instead of coming back several times and you getting upset with me and me getting upset with you, what if I cut you a final check for however much you think it’s gonna cost to get these things. [Then] you sign a contract saying we are no longer responsible for any additional fixes on the home inspection repair list.

Many TLC fans feel disappointed in the family. After all, Josh Dugger, the older brother of Jason Duggar is in prison for CSAM offenses. Remember he tried to blame someone else for all the sexually explicit material on his computer. Of course, because the family is all about Jesus, somehow, underhand activities seem to be that much worse in the opinion of reality TV fans.
